How is this examen work?
1. The realization of a Mammotest takes about 15 minutes.
At the reception of the Mammography center, your administrative data will be checked, and you will be referred to the Imaging department.
2. You will then be welcomed by a specialized technologist.
Next to her is a device, the "Mammograph."
3. The technologist shows you the way to a changing room where you undress to the waist.
4. The technologist explains to you how the "Mammograph" works.
And she positions you so that she can take quality images.
5. The technologist takes the images (2 per breast).
6. Your mammograms are now ready.
They will be examined by 2 certified radiologists.
The result of the test will be sent to your referring physician. You can find your
result at www.mijngezondheid.be.
In case of a positive Mammotest, you will be personally informed.
