In practical terms, what should I do?

 In practice,

if you are between 50 and 69 years old,
if you are domiciled in the bilingual Brussels-Capital Region,
if you are affiliated with one of the 7 partner health insurance funds of the RIZIV,

then you will receive an invitation for a Mammotest every two years in the month of your birthday. If you have already undergone a Mammotest, you will receive your invitation 23 months after the date on which you had your previous Mammotest performed.

You can also contact your treating physician for a prescription for the Mammotest. Attention: you can perform a maximum of 1 Mammotest every 2 years, otherwise you will receive a bill.

Once you have your invitation or prescription, you can contact the Accredited Mammography Center of your choice to schedule an appointment. Clearly state that you wish to have a Mammotest!

On the day of your appointment, you should bring the following:

- your invitation or prescription;
- your identity card;
- two stickers from the health insurance;
- the name and details of your treating physician or your gynecologist.
